The Female Furies have a terrible secret that could get them all banished to the deepest pit of Apokolips. They thought they got away with killing Steppenwolf’s nephew, but now that he’s been reported missing, the Protectors are sticking their noses into everyone’s business in hopes of finding their lost comrade. Meanwhile, Aurelie’s tormentor, Protector Wiliks, applies more pressure on her. Does he know more than he lets on? Regardless, it’s affecting Aurelie’s ability to lead the Furies, causing friction between her and Big Barda and forcing Granny Goodness to take drastic action. – DC Comics

I’m really not a fan of this run. Do not get me wrong the subject matter is there and it is very important, but it feels like Cecil Castellucci is just forcing it on us instead of letting us enjoy the issue. Of course, this is my opinion and some others think this is a subject matter that needs to be told but my issue is the execution.

We get Darkseid doing nothing again, Granny Goodness just yelling about her status. In this issue, I did not get much character development. I may be missing something but the problem is that I am not as invested in these characters as much as I would love to.

I did enjoy the art by Adriana Melo it fits the aesthetic within that story. I also love the Kirby art style.

For Ava DuVernay New gods film depending on the story, she would like to tell I hope that we get subject matter as important as what we get in here but do not let it overtake the overall aspect of the story. I would what once it goes on the bargain bin.
