Goddess Mode Review
Cover by: Robbi Rodriguez
Colored by: Rico Renzi
Variant cover by: Stjepan Sejic
Written by: Zoe Quinn
Goddess Mode is a sight for fresh eyes, for me who loves cyberpunk storylines really enjoyed this story and the amazing artist Robbi Rodrigues and Rico Renzi has definitely heightened that experience with his artwork creating a cyberpunk world.
The synopsis of the story
“In a near future where all of humanity’s needs are administered by a godlike A.I., it’s one young woman’s horrible job to do tech support on it. But when Cassandra finds herself violently drawn into a hidden and deadly digital world beneath our own, she discovers a group of super-powered women and horrific monsters locked in a secret war for the cheat codes to reality.”
“I might have gotten my brains from you, but the only thing I seem to be able to use them for is figuring out new ways to break things and Alienate people.” – Cassandra
Like I said earlier, Robbi Rodriguez and Rico Renzi did a fantastic job heightening the experience of the already fantastic story by Zoe Quinn. The colors are bright and exciting to look at every detail is on point.
I really enjoyed the writing in this. When I read comics sometimes I can get bored in certain areas, but with this every panel it was engaging and it this is only the first issue. Hopefully, this story can keep up with the momentum they have at this moment. If they do this story will probably be up in my top ten comic books storylines.
“Treat me like garbage all you want, but I’m not going to throw myself away” – Cassandra
I highly recommend Goddess Mode for everyone. A beautifully written story and more to come along with amazing artwork.
