Cover by: Goni Montes
Written by: Dan Watters
“Lucifer is enlightened. Caught in a web of bargains and deceit centuries in the making, the Devil uncovers the truth about the peculiar prison he is trapped within. Meanwhile: the detective hiding in the bushes draws close to solving the mystery of Gately House, if only he can recall his own name.” – DC Comics
Max Fiumara and Sebastion Fiumara art capture the essence of what Lucifer #4 story is trying to capture which is the horror/ suspenseful element and my god they succeeded. Max Fiumara and Sebastion Fiumara use everything in their disposal to immerse you in Dan Watters story. From the panels to the gutters beautiful artistry combined with the coloring from Dave McCaig the way he uses different colors for every character the story follows. There was a specific page where Decker has a seizure and the colors change from blue to red.
I am not very in touch with Dan Watters work but Lucifer #4 is really good! I love the suspenseful yet horrifying tone he decides to tell every page leaves question other pages gives you answers, but even more questions this is what true storytelling is supposed to do, leave you asking questions, keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Overall this was a brilliant read there were no dull moments beautiful writing, amazing art if you have a comic book store around you I highly recommend it.
