DC Movie Rumors: Possible Shazam! & Joker Trailer, and The Flash Movie is Still Happening

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11276″ img_size=”1280×720″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]DC fans!! Have we have news for you! There’s a lot to say about juicy DC news courtesy of Revenge of the Fans, so let’s get to it!

ANNOUNCEMENT AHEAD

According to Mario Robles, it seems that there will be something DC related released before the end of the year. Whether this is a trailer or announcement we are not sure, as it seems that the studio is focusing all of its attention on the upcoming Aquaman movie. Considering this film will be a lesson as to what works and doesn’t work for DC, I’m sure that the studio is trying to keep a lot tight-lipped.

Robles assumes that we may get a trailer for the upcoming Shazam! movie which got a fun trailer before, but has been relatively quiet since then considering how much hype just one sneak peak generated. Zachary Levi will be at a con (CCXP) in Brazil this Sunday, so what if he’s debuting a new trailer for his movie then? Rumors seem to believe so, we’ll just have to see.

A trailer for the upcoming Joker standalone movie could also be a possibility, considering filming just wrapped, and fans seem (myself included) to really be excited about this project.

HARLEY QUINN

Birds of Prey will premiere in 2020 and despite the end of Suicide Squad showing Harley Quinn and the Clown Prince reuniting, the movie will focus on Harley’s separation from the Joker and her new life moving forward. This isn’t the only thing she is stepping away from, as it seems based on Robles’s sources that we may see a less inked up Harley. While many critiqued the gritty look of the Clown Couple in Suicide Squad, I quite liked the new take, as not every movie or adaptation should be a cookie cutter version of what we’ve seen before. Still, it seems that the critics could be taken into account and we may see less ink; which will mean a lot of laser removal for Harley. Ouch.

THE FLASH

As it happens with some projects, The Flash has seemed to lose its momentum and many are afraid that it may end up in limbo along with the Gambit movie (different studios, I know). There’s been a debate on what the movie would be about, give it Flashpoint or something else. There’s also been rumors that Seth Grahame-Smith, who went on to be replaced by Rick Famuyiwa, who then left the project; disliked the casting of Ezra Miller and didn’t like the idea of working with him on The Flash. Considering he’s the Scarlet Speedster, I can see where that caused tension.

According to Robles, nothing has changed with the latest news we’ve heard, which is saying a Flash movie will be moved to late 2019. According to Robles’s source:

“Noise. When these other announcements pop up (about delays), people make their own narrative. Flash hasn’t changed. Just needs more time.”

The source’s comment does coincide with Miller’s recent interview with Playboy:

“Nothing is ever certain in this world, but as certain as things get, we’re making a f****** crazy-dope Flash movie. It’s one of my great life dreams, and just the fact that we’re on the way—anyone who knows about Barry Allen knows he may arrive late, very late, but once he gets there, it’s all solved. We have to trust.”

So, from what I can gather from this, it’s don’t lose faith in a Flash movie. It may take time, but this could be for the sole reason of making a better film. Considering the CGI as well that would go into a Flash film, I don’t blame them for pushing it back a little.

What do you think of all this DC goodness? Let us know!
