DC Review: Hawkman #12

While we have a brief moment where we witness the events of the past and how they will shape the future, most of this wild issue is pure battle. A wave of actions hits every single page and it is an intense fight, one that leaves you wanting to quickly flip through each page.

Carter Hall fights strategically and valiantly, as there is so much going on in the background. You can feel every punch, every hit, and the story is rich with mythos from the Hawkman and DC comic book universe. The artist for this issue does a great job in mapping out the story and making it easy to read along, while showcasing the intensity of the battle.

While there is not too much gore or blood in this issue, there is still one very powerful scene of Carter Hall holding his own. This is really both a great action packed issue, as well as one that touches upon a very spiritual message. We know the backstory of Hawkman and his mythos, and we see the many lives that he has lived, and how his past and present live inside of him.
