DC Universe Official Launch Date and Much More!

Alright, everyone, this is some exciting news, so gear up. We have exclusive insight on some major details pertaining DC Universe, the upcoming streaming service. Let’s rip the band-aid off, the digital service will officially launch on September 15th of this year. On top of that, the highly-anticipated Titans show will premiere on October 12th on DC Universe. The series will include twelve episodes, and Warner Brothers Television will show a world premiere of the show on October 3rd at New York Comic Con. John Barrowman, Samm Levine, and Harley Quinn Smith will be introduced as hosts and regular guests for “DC Daily” show

There was a live stream od DC Daily earlier today, which will be available on DC Universe. As you know, DC Universe will be all things well…DC. And the channel DC Daily will come at no additional costs to viewers.

In preparation for the digital service, DC Universe is offering The Ultimate Batman Studio Tour Sweepstakes! You can pre-order until Wednesday, September 12th and you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win. The lucky person will win the chance to tour Warner Brothers, take the WB Studio Tour Hollywood, visit DC headquarters, ride in the Batmobile, and take a prize package away with you. I don’t mean to sound like one of those salespeople in an infomercial, but this will be an unbelievable opportunity for anyone who pre-orders with no real work to be done.

Included in the announcement, we were given:

  • Titan’s debut date of October 12th, afterward episodes will be released weekly.
  • Season 3 of Young Justice tidbits.
  • The first two seasons of Young Justice will be available as soon as the service launches.
  • Comic book news, such as the inclusion of the first appearances of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. As well as Batman: Gothic, The Authority series, Green Arrow: Year One, Shazam, The New Teen Titans, Identity Crisis, The Batman Adventures, Jack Kirby’s New Gods, and many more DC classics.
  • DC Daily co-hosts, which will include: John Barrowman, Samm Levine, Harley Quinn Smith, Sam Humphries, Hector Navarro, Clarke Wolfe, Brian Tong, Markeia McCarty, and John Kourounis.

For those who are worried that you already have enough subscriptions, DC Universe actually costs less than Netflix and Hulu. $7.99 per month or $74.99 annually, which is a great deal because if you paid monthly you would be paying at least an additional twenty dollars a year.
