Deadwood’s Timothy Olyphant Had Bills to Pay When He Took Hitman and Live Free or Die Hard Roles

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23105″ img_size=”620×360″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Timothy Olyphant has a nice career in his pocket. From Deadwood, to Justified, even Santa Clarita Diet, and the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood film, Olyphant has been doing well for himself. There was a time, though; where it seems like he wasn’t and this was apparently the reason why he took the role of Agent 47 in the 2007 Hitman movie. Deadwood had run for three seasons before it was canceled and because he had bought a house just beforehand, he was taking parts like Agent 47 and Live Free or Die Hard.

“I said, ‘Sure.’ And they’re like, ‘Do you want to read the script?’ I said, ‘I get it. I’m in. I just bought a house. Did you not hear? They just canceled my fucking show. Yes, I’ll do it.’ ‘What about this video game adaptation?’ ‘Yes to that too. I’m in. I’ve got to make up some TV money’.”

Olyphant then explained about gaining valuable experience in doing projects like Hitman, particularly about his work ethic:

“Find yourself bald in Bulgaria doing some pile of sh**, that will get you up a little earlier in the morning and make you work a little harder.”

On May 31, a Deadwood movie will premiere back on HBO which will see the return of Olyphant and McShane. Since 2007, as I said previously, Olyphant has been doing well for himself and we can also see him in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
