‘Defenders’ Producer Loeb Says Future ‘Defenders’ Episodes NOT Off The Table

When the eight episode Marvel’s Defenders mini-series aired on Netflix, it was pretty much hinted that the one time run might be the last. At least that is the way Marvel TV head and The Defenders producer Jeph Loeb had made it seem. However, he recently has decided to clarify his declaration in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“No, all we’ve ever said is that there are no plans right now [to do more],” Loeb said. It doesn’t mean that it’s off the table. And it doesn’t mean that it even has to be with the original characters that were in the first Defenders.”

The original Defenders consisted of blind vigilante Daredevil (Charlie Cox) along with a troubled superhuman investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Harlem’s Protector Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and martial arts master Iron Fist (Finn Jones). These four distinctly different heroes temporarily join together to fend off the sinister Hand organization.

So how would you feel about another group of Defenders? Does it NEED to be the original set of four? Share your Defender thoughts with us at GVNation.
