Capcom has been hitting a lot of home-runs as of late. The now fan-favorite Resident Evil 2 Remake completely outshined its predecessor Resident Evil 7 on steam with almost 3X as many players and it stood strong on platforms such as Twitch during its release. Well, now the Resident Evil franchise can take a seat with Capcoms latest release Devil May Cry 5 surpassing both of them to become the company’s second largest PC launch behind Monster Hunter World.

The game’s success is looking to continue even still with director Hideaki Itsuno announcing recently at a talk at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, that the game had sold over 2 million copies. A fantastic achievement especially for a game that only recently launched on March 8.
