Since his debut as The Punisher in Daredevil’s second season back in 2016, Jon Bernthal has transformed Frank Castle into a character as iconic as Charlie Cox’s Daredevil or Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man. Despite starting as a side character, Castle earned two seasons of his own show, solidifying his place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After Netflix canceled all Marvel shows, leaving fans uncertain about the fate of these characters, the recent announcement of a new Daredevil show has reignited hopes. Notably, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, reprising his role as Wilson Fisk, have made their way from the Defendersverse era.

Now, the speculation intensifies as Jon Bernthal, in a recent Instagram post featuring a children’s book, has ignited fan assumptions. For devoted followers of Daredevil and The Punisher, the image holds significant meaning tied to the mantra “One Batch, Two Batch,” a phrase Frank Castle frequently invoked throughout Daredevil season two.

In the series, “One Batch, Two Batch” served as the favorite storybook of Castle’s deceased daughter, acting as a poignant reminder for his relentless pursuit of justice. The question that lingers now is why Bernthal chose to share this photo without any context. Is he hinting at a potential return as Frank Castle? Could this tease a long-awaited reunion between The Punisher and Daredevil in a storyline reminiscent of “Born Again”?

The anticipation grows as fans eagerly await confirmation of Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle. The prospect of a reunion between The Punisher and Daredevil in a storyline inspired by “Born Again” is undoubtedly an exciting possibility. Are you ready to see Jon Bernthal don the skull once more? Stay tuned for updates on this tantalizing development in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
