American Gods’ Yetide Badaki is joining the Disney Giannis Antetokounmpo film. Badaki joins newcomer Uche Agada as the NBA star. Yetide will play Vera, Giannis’ mother. And Dayo Okeniyi will play Charles – his father. The film is being developed for Disney+ and is inspired by Antetokounmpo’s real life and family. Arash Amel will write the film that Akin Omotoso will direct.
Antetokounmpo will executive produce. Bernie Goldmann will produce. The production will begin later this year in Greece and the U.S. This will be the first time Agada is on screen. Are you looking forward to a movie about Giannis Antetokounmpo?
