Disney+ Planning Massive Star Wars Connected Universe?

Earlier today we got the brand new Star Wars: Squadrons trailer and now I have been passed along some exciting news regarding Disney+ and their slate of Star Wars shows.  A new rumor from our friends over at LRM Online says that Disney plans to connect all of their Star Wars shows in a massive universe that will focus on a central storyline. The idea seems to come from Game of Thrones. LRM describes it as each house from Game of Thrones getting their own show rather than it all being combined into one show. The stories will flow into each other.

This news means that The Mandalorian will intertwine with the Obi-Wan series and the planned series focusing on Ahsoka Tano, an Ezra Bridger/Grand Admiral Thrawn and a series yet to be named.

LRM also says Disney+ is planning a Boba Fett series so we will have to see how that all plays out.

For now we will take this will a grain of salt but there is no denying that Disney has plans for the Star Wars universe outside the big screen. LRM says Dave Filoni Will serve as showrunner or at least oversee the shows in some capacity. One has to also assume Deborah Chow and Jon Favreau will have a say in the shows as well.

Let us know how you feel about this rumor and what you’d like to see from the Disney+ Star Wars universe.
