Disney is working on a new reboot of a classic. Doogie Howser will be rebooted as Doogie Kealoha, M.D., a show that will center on a sixteen-year-old female who is described as half-Asian and half-Caucasian. Writer and executive producer Kourtney Kang will be behind the reboot and 20th Century Fox Television will also produce.
At this moment, Disney has declined to comment. Disney has rebooted plenty of older, popular shows and movies. Doogie Howser was originally portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris, a role that many still associate him with to this day. It will be interesting to see what a modern-day Doogie reboot looks like.
