Now, a decade after its initial release; it’s been announced that a spinoff film is in the works. Screen Gems has brought in Bert Royal to write and direct the upcoming film. Royal penned the script for the first film. This film is still in early development since Royal is still in the process of writing said screenplay.
This spinoff will be Royal’s directorial debut and Zanne Devine is returning as the executive producer. According to Variety, the spinoff will take place in the same high school and explore many similar themes to the ones in the original film. Easy A was about a clean-cut student who used a rumor spread about her to help her rise to the top of social standing. We’re unsure if Stone will return to reprise her role, but as we find out more we will let you know.
