    At the center of Hard Style Juice! is the Castro family, whose lives are intertwined with the world of professional wrestling. Led by patriarch “King” Castro, the family navigates the complexities of the wrestling business while facing their own personal struggles and ambitions. But when tragedy strikes in the ring, the family finds themselves plunged into a web of mystery and revenge, where the line between reality and spectacle begins to blur.

    Writer Clay McCormack describes Hard Style Juice! as a fusion of two beloved storytelling mediums. “Pro-wrestling and comic books have always felt like two sides of the same coin for me,” says McCormack. “With Hard Style Juice!, we aim to explore the thrilling world of crime drama through the lens of professional wrestling, offering readers a unique and exhilarating narrative experience.”

    Wrestling is big business in arenas across the country, and for the Castros, it’s the family business. “King” Castro is the patriarch of the family, he’s also the manager, booker, promotor, MC, and owner of the local independent wrestling promotion KCPW. His daughter, Ramonita “Mona” Castro, has dreams of going to business school, but also has a penchant for wrestling. And his son, Rey Castro, is the star. A real showman, Rey is known as the “King of the Death Match,” and he’s on the verge of getting a contract to go pro.

    But when a shocking in-ring death occurs, it sends the family spiraling out of control, and down the path of revenge as one big question looms: Was it an accident or was it murder?

    “Pro-wrestling and comic books have always felt like two sides of the same coin for me, so combining the two was a no-brainer,” says writer Clay McCormack. “Hard Style Juice! is a crime drama, but instead of organized crime the family is dedicated to the glitz and spectacle of professional wrestling.”

    About the Creators:

    Clay McCormack is a writer and artist known for his work on Batman White Knight Presents: Red Hood, as well as Redline from Oni Press, Poser from Waxwork Comics, and Night Moves from IDW, among others. He’s also the writer/artist of Bloody Hel, a graphic novel brought to life by a very successful crowdfunding campaign, published by A Wave Blue World. In addition to his comics work, he’s been a guest or co-host on many podcasts. He is kept in line by his friend Plissken, a big, white dog who has had surprisingly little ink spilled on him over the years.

    Ricardo López Ortiz is a Brooklyn, NY based comic book artist and illustrator hailing from Puerto Rico. He’s most known for his work on DC Comics’; The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 (2022), Ghost- Maker (2021) and American Vampire 1976 (2021), TKO Presents’; THE PULL (2020), Marvel’s; War of the Realms: War Scrolls #1 (2019), Black Panther vs Deadpool (2018), Weapon X (2018), Totally Awesome Hulk Monsters Unleashed (2017) and Civil War 2: KIngpin (2016) as well as KILLBOY (2020), Hit- Girl: Colombia (2017), WOLF (2016) and ZERO (2014) for Image Comics.
