Horror films have always found a way to insert real-life issues into their storytelling. The Welder is no exception. This film comes from Terror Films and tackles the extremely prevalent issue of racism in the modern-day.
The film follows Eliza, a young Latina woman who is plagued by the horrific events she experienced while in the military. Her boyfriend, who is African American; decides to take her to a ranch in order to reduce her anxiety and panic attacks. While there, the two find themselves in the grasp of a mad doctor who looks to conduct twisted racial experiments on them. The Welder explores the true horror of racial division, while offering a morbid solution.
The Welder was directed and co-written by David Liz and stares Vincent De Paul, Camila Rodriguez, and Roe Dunkley. It comes out this Friday, February 24th.

The Welder takes the very prevalent issue of racism and subtly explores the true horror that is racial division and even offers a solution, albeit a morbid one. ELIZA, a young Latina woman is haunted by a traumatic event she experienced while in the military, so her African American boyfriend takes her on a ranch to help relieve her anxiety and panic attacks. But once there, they find themselves in a fight for their lives as they attempt to elude the demented racial experiments of a doctor gone mad.
