Horror films have always found a way to insert real-life issues into their storytelling. The Welder is no exception. This film comes from Terror Films and tackles the extremely prevalent issue of racism in the modern-day.

The film follows Eliza, a young Latina woman who is plagued by the horrific events she experienced while in the military. Her boyfriend, who is African American; decides to take her to a ranch in order to reduce her anxiety and panic attacks. While there, the two find themselves in the grasp of a mad doctor who looks to conduct twisted racial experiments on them. The Welder explores the true horror of racial division, while offering a morbid solution.
