Fantasy Movie ‘Blood Moon’ to Start Production in May

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”16660″ img_size=”681×304″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Ana Lily Amirpour fantasy Blood Moon will soon go into production, as Moviehole has confirmed that the film will begin shooting sometime in the middle of May. The script is being described as “winner” and considering Amirpour directed the “past perfect” episode for Hulu’s Castle Rock, it seems like the movie is in good hands.

Blood Moon is about a girl who has “unusual powers” who then escapes from a mental asylum in New Orleans. Starring Kate Hudson, Zac Efron, and Craig Robinson, the movie is in search for a young actor to portray Hudson’s young, 10-year-old son who is described as:

“[A] cool, rad weirdo hero. He’s grown up with a single mom, who’s gone a lot so he’s pretty self sufficient. He’s a creative kid with street smarts. Like his mom, he’s a survivor.”

We are not aware of a release date, but will keep you informed as we find out more.
