16 States is an upcoming pandemic film acquired by Lionsgate. Fede Alvarez has been officially brought in to direct. 16 States will be about a zombie pandemic that will center around a mother attempting to reunite with her family. According to THR, the film has been likened to films such as Will Smith’s I Am Legend.
Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment will produce.
With everything that is going on right now, a pandemic movie feels like both what we need and what we don’t need. But, zombie movies are always incredibly popular, so I have no doubt that 16 States will pique a lot of people’s interests.
