Felicity Smoak Sports Pink Hair and Bruises in Arrow Promo Photos

Ahead of next month’s premiere of season seven of the Arrow, The CW has released new photos that offer key insight to the episode “Inmate 4587”. While Oliver Queen is in prison, his beau Felicity visits him in heartbreaking images. In the picture, it’s hard to miss that Felicity is rocking some pink hair and what looks like fake piercings. I love the new look personally, but I have a feeling this change was not a result of her wanting a new wardrobe change.

We can also see that Felicity is sporting some scrapes and bruises, which probably is a result of fending off attackers. According to Felicity’s actor Emily Bett Rickards, the team will be dealing with a lot now that Oliver is locked up.

“The idea now is: If Oliver’s in prison, is he actually more protected than the team?” Rickards explained in an interview earlier this year. “The rest of the team is all going to be in danger as well. Where that puts Felicity and William, I mean, we can only do so much to protect them.”

Regardless of how stark of a change Felicity’s new look is and the challenges the team will face, Stephen Amell, the actor behind the Arrow; assures fans of the vision season seven has.

“[The writers] have a very clear vision of what they want season seven to be, and what I asked them to do – and it’s not up to me – but what I asked of them is to not just assume that we have an eighth season. I wanted them to write like, ‘If you have a good idea, and you have something you’ve always wanted to do or see on the show, then just do it! Do it right now!'”
