Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo are teaming up for leading roles in Joe Carnahan’s thriller Copshop. According to Comingsoon, Copshop is about a small-time police station that becomes a battleground between a “professional hitman, a smart rookie female cop, and a double-cross con man”. The three seek refuge behind bars when there’s nowhere else to turn.
Casting for the female lead has not happened yet. The movie will be directed by Joe Carnahan. Carnahan also wrote the recent draft of the screenplay which was written by Kurt McLeod. The story is based on a story by McLeod and Mark Williams. Butley and Alan Siegal will produce through their G-Based Productions banner. Carnahan and Grillo will produce through their WarParty Films Banner.
Production should begin in October.
