Certain projects haven’t been stalled by the current global pandemic. Like action-thriller Ida Red, which has been filming in Oklahoma. In an exclusive by Deadline, Frank Grillo, Melissa Leo, Josh Hartnett, and William Forsythe are the leads in the upcoming film. They join Sofia Hublitz, Deborah Ann Woll, Mark Boone Junior, Beau Knapp, Slaine, and Nicholas Cirillo.
Ida Red is written and directed by John Swab. The movie is about Leo’s Ida ‘Red’ Walker who is battling a fatal illness. All while serving a twenty-five-year prison sentence in Oklahoma. During this time, Ida’s son Wyat Walker (Hartnett) has kept up the family business. Along with his uncle Dallas Walker, played by Grillo. A job goes awry, leading detectives and Wyatt’s brother-in-law, Slaine’s Bodie Collier to join FBI agent Lawrence Twilley (Forsythe) to take matters into their own hands.
The film is currently in the process of wrapping production. It follows the SAG-AFTRA health and safety protocols put in place due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
