The 2024 Raleigh GalaxyCon kicked off its four-day event today with a thrilling announcement for both the convention and the City of Raleigh. The city’s hosting agreement with GalaxyCon has been extended through 2031, encompassing both GalaxyCon and Galaxy Con Animate! until 2030. In conjunction with this extension, the city plans to enhance the Raleigh Convention Center and introduce additional hotel and dining options, further solidifying Raleigh’s reputation as an exemplary host for these well-attended events.

Raleigh Plans for the Future
Raleigh is preparing for a renewed renaissance, with plans to expand the Raleigh Convention Center and develop new hotels downtown. This expansion will enhance the city’s capacity to host large-scale events and accommodate the growing number of visitors, further establishing Raleigh as a premier destination for major conventions and cultural events. Additionally, GalaxyCon founder and president Mike Broder was appointed to the Raleigh Convention Center’s Client Advisory Board of industry experts to solicit feedback to influence and shape the future of the convention center’s expansion.
