Game of Thrones Last Season Are Like “Six Movies” According to HBO Boss

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”12982″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]When HBO’s Game of Thrones returns for its final season in April, there will only be six episodes in the eighth season. Why this sounds disappointing, the HBO chief Richard Plepler shared some news that may comfort fans. During a talk with Variety, he revealed that he had seen all six episodes and assured us that they are nothing short of spectacular:

“It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie,’” Of showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Plepler stated: “They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”

We’re certainly looking forward to the upcoming season and what it entails for the characters we’ve gotten to know so well throughout the years. Game of Thrones returns in April of this year after being on hiatus for about two years.
