Games We Should Look Forward To In 2021 And Beyond

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 5 generated over $300 million in its first week and became one of the biggest launches in Ubisoft’s history. With all of that excitement, it should come as no surprise that Far Cry 6 is as hyped as it is.

This first-person shooter is slated to release in mid-to-late 2021, after originally having a release date February 18th 2021. The action-adventure game takes place on a fictional Caribbean island and you play as a guerilla soldier looking to free your nation from a facist dictator.

The open-world game makes use of makeshift weapons, a variety of vehicles and the ability to hire assistance in your fight for freedom. The world is sure to be beautiful and full of various landscapes from sprawling cities to gorgeous natural landscapes.

Chivalry 2

If you like multiplayer medieval battles in a first-person POV, this might be the game for you. After the wildly popular and successful first Chivalry game, the sequel is coming out on June 8th 2021. The game will support up to 64-players and feature everything from sword fights to castle sieges.

The combat system will be very fluid and fast, and everything from the sound, to the graphics, to the visual effects are sure to be appealing. The game will have a massive scale and the presentation looks high-quality. There is also a detailed customization system and there are many fighting styles to choose from.

Deathloop

Coming out on September 14th 2021, Deathloop is an action-adventure game that is unlike many other games in the genre. There is a time loop that is trapping as island in a consistent cycle, and your job is to stop it. The main character, Colt, needs to take out eight different individuals across the world in order for the time loop to stop.

If he is unsuccessful or dies, he must go back to the start of the loop. Over time, the player will learn the different habits of the targets and other NPCs in his quest to save the island.

Think of it a little like Hitman, but also with aspects of an open-world puzzle game. It could also play a little like a roguelike, as well. While it will take the game being released to know exactly what it’s like, this premise is very unique and exciting, and one that people are certainly looking forward to.

Kerbal Space Program 2

Kerbal Space Program 2, which won’t come out until 2022, is a space-simulation game that has many people excited. It is a sequel to the 2015 original, and allows players to explore space like never before. It will allow players to build up a space program, design colonies, build spacecraft and so much more.

The game is also very educational and can help players learn about rocket science via a variety of different tutorials and a great user interface. This game will even allow for interstellar travel, as well as a multiplayer mode, too.

These four games are some of the best-looking and most highly-anticipated games of 2021 and beyond. Whether you like adventure, RPG elements, shooters or anything between, there is certainly something to be excited for in 2021.
