Exclusive: Back in November it was announced that Academy Award winning animator Glen Keane would direct the upcoming animated musical film for Netflix called Over the Moon. The film tells the tale of a young girl who creates a rocket ship so she can take to space and find the Moon Goddess. She meets some great friends and even some enemies along the way on her journey.
Keane had nothing but great things to say about the project when asked back in November

I am tremendously excited about this creative collaboration and am looking forward to working with Randy Lake, Michelle Grady and their extraordinary award-winning crew.”
Today we have learned who the cast will consist of but at this time we do not know the roles they will play. Per our source the following have been cast, Ken Jeong (Hangover), John Cho (Harold and Kumar), singer Lea Salonga, Margaret Cho (Drop Dead Diva)and Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy)
A great cast for sure and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few more names were added. Netflix has set the film to release in 2020 for a run in theaters and China.
