‘Gotham’ Star Promises a Dark and Fast-Paced Final Season

Gotham may be gearing up for its final season, but it’s going to be one hell of a send-off. That is, according to young Master Wayne’s actor David Mazouz. The young actor promises a dark, fast-paced season that will be character-driven and finally see the emergence of some of the most well-known DC characters. That sounds promising for sure and exactly the kind of energy we expect from Gotham.

With the state of Gotham being left in ruins from the last season’s finale, it seems that the island is on its own. Bruce Wayne will be turning eighteen soon and thus, his transition from boy to man will also help push him forward in his journey to becoming the caped crusader. With Gotham being in the state it’s in, it could use someone who is going to step up and help them.

In regards to what to expect for the upcoming season, Mazouz had this to say:

“Last season ended with the government showing its back to Gotham. It’s a dark island, little electricity, food, ammo, all that kind of stuff — this kind of situation brings out kind of the [characteristics] of all the characters that we know and it’s going to be very character-driven this year, and the characters are finally gonna become who we know them as.”

Gotham’s fifth and final season will return to Fox in January of 2019.
