First up, Scream Factory has a pair of genre favorites that will have you breaking out your wallet in record time. Kurt Russell delivers an iconic turn as Snake Plissken in John Carpenter’s thrilling Escape From New York. The new 3-disc Collector’s Edition features the film in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio and more special features than you can shake a stick at! Millennials will no doubt have fond memories of the witchy thriller The Craft starring Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Rachel True and Skeet Ulrich. This new release features a new 4K restoration conducted by Sony and an assortment of special features that make this the definitive release of the film.
Paramount is going with variety when it comes to their 4K UHD releases this week. Modern action fans will want to seek out Infinite, the new film from Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor that debuted earlier this year on Paramount+. If you want some comedy with your action, be sure to check out the Eddie Murphy sequel Beverly Hills Cop II from the late, great Tony Scott, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a new Dolby Vision presentation. Finally, we are getting one of the greatest westerns ever made with John Ford’s classic The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance starring James Stewart and John Wayne. The film is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a new 4K UHD presentation and some new special features. You can get a look at the packaging and hear our thoughts on the Video Attic below.
