The NFL season kicked off yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier right now. Weekly, I am going to drop you my Five-Pack Friday Picks. What are they, you ask? They are going to be my weekly picks in which I think are going to win, and I will be picking four teams that I am confident that will either win or cover the spread, and I will be adding an Upset pick.
Remember that Week One can be a wild one for games, so don’t let it dictate your feelings for the entire season.
I am using Draftkings Sportsbook for the lines weekly.
Browns +8 (-110) vs. Ravens
So, I am betting the points here. I am not sure the Browns can pull off an upset win here, but I do like the Browns getting 8 to start the season with their offseason improvements.
Packers +118 to win
Packers on the road to open the season is not one I would typically bet on but something about this team I am all in on. Rodgers is going to have a chip on his shoulder all year, and I love that I am getting money to take this easy bet.
Bears +128 to win
I do not like the Lions at all this season. I think they will be one of the worst teams in football. I don’t believe the Bears will be all that good either, but I like them to win week one.
Bucs +148 to Win
Brady, in his first game in the Bucs jersey, is a hard one, on the road against the Saints, but it’s Tom Brady, and I bet on him when no one else will.
Upset of the Week
Bengals +148 to win
Joe Cool, week one, at home, sign me up for the W. Slam Dunk, my easy week one upset pick against a questionable Chargers team.
