Exclusive Look
Now, thanks to Spike Trotman and the team at Iron Circus Comics, we have the exclusive opportunity to unveil three more stories from the upcoming anthology, along with the creative teams behind them. Included is some of their thoughts about their contributions to the Anthology. Think of this as our very own exclusive heist.
The Ninth Life of Tabitha Tuxedo by James F Wright & Jackie Crofts – Tabitha Tuxedo conducts an elaborate jailbreak for their partner in crime.
James F Wright
With The Ninth Life of Tabitha Tuxedo, we wanted to approach the crime genre from the perspective of the black sheep from a criminal family. Tabitha Tuxedo hails from a legendary clan of cat burglars, but she herself has broken with that tradition, opting for a straight-and-narrow path. The various jobs, or ‘lives,’ she’s had over the years are far from what her overbearing mother had hoped for her, even as they offer Tabitha insight into a more mundane life. However, she ultimately is forced to question if her choices are what she truly wants, or simply rebelling against what is expected of her.
Grand Theft Octo by Kate Ashwin & Claude TC – This set of thieves is gonna rob the most expensive casino in the galaxy!
Kate Ashwin
Our story is a goofy heist about a trio of down-on-their-luck aliens who set out to rob a scuzzy space-casino– but the cash isn’t what they’re after…! Heists are always a favourite, from the careful planning all the way to the inevitable failure of the careful plan; I set out to write a little caper that pulls in that fun stuff we all love about a righteous robbery. I was super-lucky to work with Claude on this one, whose gorgeous, energetic inking really brought the whole thing to life.
Claude TC
I like goop and am enthusiastic about the criminal application of goop.
The Swinevald Pearl by Ben Coleman & Cat Farris – All the security in the world won’t stop this otter from getting his pearl.
Ben Coleman
Everyone knows the perfect crime is stealing the moon, so wolves are incentivized to form touring prog rock bands. But the second most perfect crime has got to be the story me and Cat cooked up about a mischievous otter attempting to steal a giant pearl from a fancy gala. Galas are the best place for crimes, and otters look really cute in tiny tuxedos, so this was a no-brainer for us.
Cat Ferris
The core theme of The Swinevald Pearl is absolutely ‘hijinx.’ Ben and I wanted to create the silliest crime story possible, and I’m proud of what we accomplished. We hope readers will be delighted by Gidion’s antics.

Coming soon from GVN, we’ll reveal some exclusive pages from these three stories. Meanwhile, you can check out this campaign here.
Senior Writer at GeekVibesNation – I am a 60 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove headfirst over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 21-year-old young man with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.
