THE MARVEL ART OF MIKE ZECK

The Tenth in the Artbook Series Will Feature Action-Packed Art From Zeck’s Iconic Comic Runs In Secret Wars, Punisher, Captain America, and More!

(April 9, 2026) — Clover Press and Marvel are collaborating on The Marvel Art Of… books, a series of high-end, boutique artbooks that showcase legendary Marvel Comics artists with iconic images alongside rare and never-before-seen artwork.

The tenth book in the series is THE MARVEL ART OF MIKE ZECK, a premium 200+ page coffee table book featuring a stunning portfolio, prints, and more celebrating the career of the acclaimed artist.

Mike Zeck broke out at Marvel in 1977 as the penciler for Shang-Chi, Master of Kung-Fu. He rose to fame illustrating the twelve-issue Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars, where he designed the iconic black Spider-Man costume. His legendary contributions include Kraven’s Last Hunt, Punisher: Circle of Blood, Captain America, Spectacular Spider-Man, and many more. He is best remembered for the groundbreaking 1986 Punisher mini-series, which has influenced every artist who has drawn the character since.

The campaign is now live on Kickstarter. Backers can get the deluxe art book, 11″ x 17″ prints, stickers, a puzzle, signed editions, and more.

I first met Mike at the Chicago Comicon in 1986, right after his Punisher was released, and he left such a positive impression on this very impressionable kid. I had the privilege of working with him on a couple of projects over the years, and I am thrilled that in retirement, he’s agreed to be a part of our prestigious The Marvel Art Of… line of art books.

To visit the campaign for The Marvel Art of Mike Zeck, head to Kickstarter.

More books in The Marvel Art Of… series will be announced in the coming months. For updates, follow Marvel on Instagram, X and Facebook and follow Clover Press on Instagram, X, Bluesky and Facebook. You can subscribe to the Clover Press newsletter.
