Back in April, we had the opportunity to talk once again to Eisner award winning writer Mark Russell about the upcoming third installment of his Second Coming series. Entitled Second Coming: Trinity, it is the continuation of the once controversial, but now acclaimed series about the evolving relationship between Superhero Sunstar and Jesus Christ. Filled with humor and insight while examining the place religion fits in our lives.
Fast forward to now and we have reached the 5th Issue of this chapter. Sunstar and his wife are dealing full on with parenthood of a super-powered child (thanks to a gift from God, see chapter one, ‘Second Coming’). Meanwhile, Jesus continues to try to build his followers and perhaps, set the record straight about his first visit to Earth.
