If there’s one thing that the creative brain trust at Ahoy excels at (and there are many) it is bringing in talented creators with a fresh and humorous look at society as a whole, wrapped in a unique wrapper. The Justice Warriors series by Matt Bors and Ben Clarkson certainly fits that bill. Where else can you find such diverse characters as Swamp Cop, a reptilian law enforcement veteran with a bus phobia (ever since his partner was killed by one) and his NEW partner Shitt (whose name perfectly describes his appearance…and his smell).

Their goal, to keep the pristine Bubble City crime free while patrolling the not so crime free Uninhabited Zone. They endeavor to do this while trying to keep their social media mentions in the positive. Which is not easy. The Zone has been engulfed by chaos. Bread has become too valuable to eat, while the city’s mayor has faced a twofold problem of low record sales and an even lower approval rating. Not to mention the new Libra Gang wreaking havoc and trending big time on the socials. Their next public appearance? An impending assault on the police station.

Coming October 26th, the penultimate issue of Justice Warriors #5 drops. Thanks to our friends at Ahoy, we are proud to offer this exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming issue:

In the outrageous new book that Boing Boing calls “all the glorious dystopian satire you hoped it would be,” Swamp Cop, Schitt, and the rest of the force are under siege as the Libra Gang mounts an assault on police headquarters! Meanwhile, Bubble City’s ruling Prince grows extremely distraught over his plummeting poll numbers.
