Comic book cover for "The Toxic Avenger" issue 4, featuring a green superhero holding a mop with a "Heartsick Romance Issue" label.

Leave it to the creative minds of Ahoy and the talented Matt Bors to take “Toxie” through his paces, emphasizing different genres as they proceed. Issue #1, Horror (naturally), CHECK! Issue #2, Crime? Also, a natural, CHECK! Issue #3, Sci-Fi? One of my favorite genres, CHECK! So, what’s left? Romance…ROMANCE?? Well, why not? Toxie is a man’s man. Why wouldn’t he long for companionship? Let’s do this thing!

That’s where writer Matt Bors, and guest artist Erica Henderson take our favorite Toxic Superhero in Ahoy Comics “The Toxic Avenger, Issue 4.” Now, thanks to the generous nature of Ahoy and the creative team of Bors, Harper and Henderson, we are pleased to show these exclusive pages from this next installment.

Cover of "The Toxic Avenger" comic showing a muscular green creature in a tank top holding a smaller, rainbow-colored, tentacled creature. Text reads "Heartsick Romance Issue.
    Cover A: Fred Harper

A comic book credits page featuring cyan biohazard symbols, lists of writers, illustrators, and editors, and brief descriptions of three different stories.

A large, muscular green character in a pink tutu and polka-dot skirt stands among junked cars, speaking and gesturing with both hands. Speech bubbles indicate dialogue. A mutant creature confronts a senator and her aide in a junkyard, then shoots the aide while others react in shock and fear. A comic page shows a villain explaining their plan involving bombs and spreading a plague, with scenes of people suffering and a confrontation with a muscular character in a mask. A graphic comic panel shows a close-up of a monstrous creature being shot in the head, with blood splattering. Below, a person types on a computer in a darkened room. A green-skinned villain in pink tutu hypnotizes two kids with pink smoke, while explaining his plan in yellow narration boxes; one kid is slumped, the other is dazed.

Coming October 29th, Ahoy Comics is proud to present The Toxic Avenger, Issue 4 by Matt Bors, Fred Harper, and Erica Henderson.
