Harry Lloyd’s Professor X Debuts In Legion’s Teaser For Season Three

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Prepare for another iteration of the iconic Professor X in FX’s Legion Season Three’s trailer. Watch below.

Harry Lloyd, who you probably know from Game of Thrones as Viserys; plays Charles Xavier in the third and final installment of this mind-bending series. In the teaser, you can see that David Haller recalls that his father was Farouk’s enemy and according to Noah Hawley (Legion’s showrunner), Xavier will battle the Shadow King which set the events of the show in motion.

“We know enough, even in the mythology of the show, to know that when David was born his father went off to fight [Amal Farouk] and kick Farouk out of his body. And so I think what we’re going to explore, is that story. The movie studio definitely controls that story and those characters and there was a negotiation that had to go on. Going into this third story, that conversation began to be had at the highest levels, because I can’t finish the story unless I can do it. The good thing with Legion is that our reality is so detached from the comics — or anything — because it’s David’s subjective experience.”

Legion will kick off its third and final season June 24th; apparently, the series was always meant to be a short one and it was described as not having been “canceled” – just that the story was meant to be told during three seasons. Patrick Stewart played Professor X for almost twenty years and James McAvoy has done a great job in the span of four films, and now we will have a new Charles Xavier in the mix. What do you think of Legion and Lloyd’s portrayal from what you’ve seen in the teaser?
