A brand new project from the people behind The Wire is in the works and it has already picked up some big names. We Own This City will star Jon Bernthal, Josh Charles, and Jamie Hector. The HBO limited series will bring in Reinaldo Marcus Green to direct and executive produce the show.
We Own This City is a six-hour limited series adaptation of the book of the same name by Justin Fenton. The show will document the “rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force”. As well as corruption and more.
Bernthal will play Sgt. Wayne Jenkins, Hector will play Sean M. Suiter (a homicide detective), and Charles will play Daniel Hersl – a brutal cop who has received multiple complaints against him.
