Henry Cavill Has A Good Idea For The Next Superman Film

The last time we saw Henry Cavill as Superman was last year in Justice League and his role was memorable but not for the reasons you would think. His latest turn as Superman was marred by a horrible CGI face to remove his mustache which he had grown for his current film, Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Despite all the issues with Justice League, Henry has maintained his position on wanting to continue to play Superman and also bring some great story lines to the big screen. During a recent Facebook LIVE session the star told viewers that he would love to adapt the Superman: For Tomorrow story line. That series was created by Brian Azarello and drawn by one the greatest DC Comics artists ever, Jim Lee.

Henry commented saying:

“I’m a huge fan of Superman comic books, obviously, and we’ve covered a lot of the really good stuff from the comics, in part, in the movies, so I couldn’t necessarily say those, “But I can say, one of my favorite books is Superman: For Tomorrow. That one I think could certainly draw some inspiration from that. I think it would make a really good movie.”

Henry also spoke with Collider about his status as Superman and his talks with Warner Bros. saying:

“I’m having a lot of conversations, behind-the-scenes, with certain people and we will hopefully be having conversations with other people who are also behind-the-scenes to make things start happening.”

“It is very much in my desire to do a Man of Steel 2, a direct sequel to Man of Steel, and there is a whole bunch of Superman story that I want to tell. There is a whole style of Superman’s character that I’m very keen to tell and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”
