[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”25603″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Earlier today we reported that Matt Reeves The Batman was entering into pre-production and so far the only casting news we have is Robert Pattinson as Batman. A new report from Thomas Polito via GWW indicates that Warner Bros and Matt Reeves have Mission: Impossible and Hobbs & Shaw actress, Vanessa Kirby, on their radar for Catwoman. Vanessa was heavily rumored for the Black Canary casting when names where being thrown around for Birds of Prey but nothing indicates she ever read or was actually considered for the role. Perhaps Kirby was and Matt really wanted to save her for his film.
Catwoman is just one of the many villains being mentioned for the film as Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face and Firefly are reported as being part of the film. Penguin and Riddler are two that are most likely confirmed with a question mark next to Two-Face and Firefly. Vanessa is just the first name being reported and it seems other names might be in contention as well which I am sure we will hear about soon.
Would you want to see Vanessa as the next Selina Kyle? Many are hoping Eiza Gonazelz or Ana de Armas get the role and there was a rumor from WGTC that former Kick Ass actress Chloe Grace Moretz was being looked at as well. WGTC also reported that Jodie Comer was on WB’s radar as well.
Right now these are all rumors so take it with a grain of salt but whomever Reeves chooses as Catwoman, I think will be purr-fect for the role.
