Google Home and former Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin got together to recreate some of the best scenes from the hit film which you can see in the video below. Splash Report has learned that Fox and Disney are in fact going to reboot the film. Details of the reboot are as follows, SNL cast member Mike Day and Streeter Seidell are being tapped to write the film, but that is not even the biggest news! Splash Report indicates that Will Ferrell is attached to star and the studio is also looking to cast Melissa McCarthy.
There is no director at this time but the studio is actively seeking one. Other things to note is this will not be a remake but more of a Jumanji style continuation. After the awesome Google Home ad yesterday many including myself were saying we need another Home Alone and it appears we are getting just that. Lets hope they can convince Macaulay to make a cameo or have some kind of role in the film. I think even bringing back as many former cast members as possible would be awesome. Sadly though John Heard passed away in 2017.
