    Imprint Television Announces Spring Releases Including ‘The New Avengers’, Made-For-TV Thrillers & More

    Imprint Television has announced three new titles to join the collection on Blu-Ray in March and May: The New Avengers: The Complete Series (1976 – 1977), TV Movie Of The Week – Collection Four (1977 / 1978 / 1983), and TV Movie of the Week: Collection Five (1972 / 1974 / 1975). These releases represent an array of fascinating cult genre favorites.

    Imprint is a specialty label based out of Australia whose releases can be played in Blu-Ray players worldwide, including U.S. players. All first pressings of each release will have strictly limited-edition deluxe packaging along with new transfers, audio commentaries, exclusive bonus features & more. These releases will be limited to 1,500 copies only. Details can be found below:

    The New Avengers: The Complete Series (1976 – 1977)

    Original series creators Brian Clements and Albert Fennell returned to fill our screens with two more series of high-stakes espionage capers, with Patrick Macnee returning as John Steed, and newcomers Gareth Hunt as Mike Gambit and Joanna Lumley as Purdey by his side. The trio are out to foil dastardly plots by whatever means necessary, defeating Nazis, mutated animals, sleeper agents, mysterious cults, mechanical killers, and assassins aplenty.

    Fully restored from the original 35mm film negatives, experience all 26 episodes like never before, presented on Blu-ray alongside hours of Special Features.

    All ten discs are housed in a Limited Edition Hardbox, including a Collector’s Edition Booklet, Collector’s Edition Comic, and a Hardcover Booklet Episode Guide.

    Based on the novel of the same name by Phillip Rosenberg, this gritty detective movie stars the great Frank Sinatra, alongside Martin Balsam (All The President’s Men) and singer Jay Black.

    The partner – and best friend – of a tough New York City detective is murdered by killers working for a local mob. Infuriated at the inability of the Police Department to bring in those responsible, he decides, with the help of a few of his fellow detectives, to use whatever means necessary to destroy the gang.

    Acclaimed by critics on release, Contract on Cherry Street was nominated for Best TV Feature/Miniseries at the 1978 Edgar Awards.
