In With the Devil Apple TV+ Adaptation To Bring in Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser

In With the Devil is getting a six-hour adaptation of a true-crime memoir by James Keene at Apple TV+. The adaptation has tapped Taron Egerton to play the author. And Paul Walter Hauser is in talks to play the suspected serial killer. Michael R. Roskam will direct the series. Dennis Lehane penned the script.

The memoir is about Keene – a young Chicago kid who could have had a nice career in football. One thing led to another and Keene ended up in prison, facing a ten-year prison sentence. With no parole in sight. Keene was a son of a Chicago cop. Eventually, the prosecutor who helped put him away offers him a chance to get out. The task the prosecutor needs Keene’s help with is a murderer. One that the prosecutor put away for abducting and killing a 15-year-old. The thing is, this murderer is suspected to have killed 19 other women. But, he was never convicted of this and as a result, he could be released on appeal. Keene is tasked with befriending this murderer and getting him to confess to two other murders.

In With the Devil will start filming in New Orleans. What do you think of the plot of this upcoming Apple TV+ series?
