A person in a black hooded outfit is being bitten on the arm by a large, artificial dinosaur head outdoors.

IndiePix Unlimited, a streaming subscription service offering more than 400 feature films and shorts available exclusively through Amazon Channels, will be celebrating a very unusual holiday this Friday. Get ready to run, roar, and stream this April 18th as they invite dino-fans everywhere to celebrate NATIONAL VELOCIRAPTOR AWARENESS DAY with a prehistoric movie marathon like no other! In honor of the cleverest creatures to ever stalk the silver screen, the SVOD platform is unleashing a Jurassic-sized streaming festival, packed with six ferociously fun films.

NATIONAL VELOCIRAPTOR AWARENESS DAY, first celebrated in 2013 by Jurassic Park fans and dinosaur lovers alike, is a day to honor the speed, smarts, and cinematic legacy of these iconic creatures. It’s also the perfect time to learn more about their real-life counterparts—while enjoying their larger-than-life adaptations.

GVN has been provided with an exclusive trailer for the event ahead of its debut. Be sure to check it out and get full details on the lineup below:

Whether you’re a lifelong paleontology buff or just here for the thrills and spills of dinosaur mayhem, this curated lineup has claws, comedy, chaos — and a whole lot of raptors.

    Featured Films Include:

    • THE VELOCIPASTOR (2018) – After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. Although he is horrified by the new power, a sex worker convinces him to use it to fight crime.  What could go wrong? Everything. And it’s glorious. (75 mins)
    • BIKINI GIRLS VS. DINOSAURS (2014) – The female heirs to a space kingdom’s throne are sent back in time by their manipulative stepmother. Now, the bikini-clad princesses must battle dinosaurs in the distant past and find a way home to stop their throne from being usurped in this campy, cult-favorite clash of prehistoric predators and beachside bravado. (52 mins)
    • REVENGE OF THE LOST (2017) – Three survivors make their way through a dinosaur-plagued wasteland to a military base, the last safe place on earth. Once they arrive, they uncover a plot that’s even more terrifying than the dinosaurs themselves. (89 mins.)
    • MONSTROID (1980) – A mysterious monster awakened by industrial pollution of a nearby lake terrorizes a rural Colombian village — could it be a dinosaur reborn? (78 mins.)
    • PREHISTORIC PREDATORS (2023) – When the sassy, daring, and drop-dead gorgeous Samantha is dispatched to a secluded island in search of survivors from a plane crash, she finds herself in a forgotten paradise teeming with ancient dinosaurs! Get ready for a wild ride filled with jaw-dropping dinosaurs, massive mayhem, and belly-aching laughter, so gather your tribe, grab some popcorn, and prepare for a prehistoric party like no other! (67 mins)
    • GILA! (2012) – A giant mutant lizard emerges from the past to wreak in this retro-styled monster flick from legendary cult director Jim Wynorski. (91 mins.)

Grab your fossil-shaped popcorn, rally your fellow dino-geeks, and dig into six wild adventures—streaming exclusively on IndiePix Unlimited via Amazon Prime Video starting April 18.  Because when it comes to velociraptors and their scaly brethren, awareness is your best survival strategy.
