Family Movie Events, a burgeoning entertainment distribution company dedicated to delivering wholesome, family-centric content, has officially announced the nationwide release of their debut film, A Carpenter’s Prayer, set for August 9th. This faith-based drama features notable actors such as Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects), Bethany Anne Lind (Ozark), and Reno Reyes (The Walking Dead).

In collaboration with Integrity Releasing, a distributor with strong ties to the faith community, Family Movie Events has ensured that A Carpenter’s Prayer reaches audiences seeking meaningful and uplifting stories. The film, penned and helmed by Matt Webb (Praying the Hours), was shot in various picturesque locations in northern Indiana, particularly around Huntington University.

“A Carpenter’s Prayer marks the launch of Family Movie Events, as we introduce a slate of five films that celebrate family values and inspire hope,” remarked Harmon Kaslow, President of Family Movie Events. “We are grateful to our theater partners for supporting these uplifting stories and bringing them to audiences nationwide.”

A woman, two boys, and a man in an orange shirt gather around someone lying down in a dimly lit home interior.

The narrative of A Carpenter’s Prayer is set in the 1970s and follows the true story of a pastor and his family endeavoring to build a new church in rural Michigan. Amid their trials, they encounter an afflicted carpenter who unexpectedly becomes a beacon of hope, demonstrating that unwavering faith in God can lead to redemption even in the direst situations.

“At Integrity, we are perpetually interested in distributing high-quality family content,” stated Heather O’Quinn, President of Integrity Releasing. “Our partnership with Family Movie Events makes it possible for family and faith films to have a path to distribution in communities that are hungry for elevated content like A Carpenter’s Prayer.”

Producer Lance Clark shared his enthusiasm for the project, “I am very excited that Forester Film’s debut feature, A Carpenter’s Prayer, a true story about my childhood, is coming to theaters this summer.”

With A Carpenter’s Prayer marking its entry into the market, Family Movie Events aims to meet the growing demand for family-friendly films. This release is the first in a series of inspiring dramas designed to resonate with audiences and reinforce the importance of family values and faith.

As the release date approaches, audiences nationwide are encouraged to support this heartfelt film and experience the uplifting message it delivers.
