Is Jon Bernthal’s Latest Tweet a Tease For The Punisher Season Two’s Release?

Daredevil season three came and it was honestly some of the best sh*t I have ever seen done within the Marvel Netflix Universe. But, there is one show I am more ready than ever to return.

The Punisher. Jon Bernthal marched into our lives in Daredevil season two’s first episode and the character of Frank Castle has been cemented as one of Bernthal’s best. While earlier in the year we were unsure when we were getting a second season, it was revealed that 2019 would be when we got season two. Which, made sense considering we got updated seasons on Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil. Iron Fist and Luke Cage may have been canceled, but The Punisher and Jessica Jones still have new seasons confirmed.

An official release date has not been released yet, but The Punisher’s official Twitter page has been posting some more in the recent weeks, with the latest tweet showcasing Frank Castle against Agent Orange. Bernthal then retweeted it, stating “tick tock”.

Tick Tock? It could be nothing, but it is an interesting choice of words. Tick tock is usually the phrase to warn that time is running out. Are we going to be getting a season two announcement soon? Season one kept its release date under wraps and only revealed itself when it was originally going to surprise release during the 2017 New York Comic Con weekend, but decided to push it back after the tragic shooting in Las Vegas.

For The Punisher fan in me, I will gladly latch onto this simple little tweet and only hope that this is a sign that we will be getting Punisher news soon.

In the meantime, make sure you check out Daredevil season three and catch up on The Punisher season one!
