Is Numan Acar Playing the Chameleon in Spider-Man: Far From Home?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”21779″ img_size=”624×325″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With Spider-Man: Far From Home bringing in Mysterio, people are wondering who else will pop up now that we know that the Vulture will not be making his return. Numan Acar has been cast as Dmitri and while it’s not confirmed, people are suspecting that it is Chameleon aka Dmitri Smerdyakov – a face-changing foe for Spidey. This would probably make sense considering you have one illusionist (Mysterio) involved in the film – this seems it will be the movie of smoke and mirrors for Peter Parker.

Jon Watts did discuss Dmitri, though did not lead on if Dmitri is actually playing Chameleon, the half-brother of Kraven the Hunter:

“Well, Dmitri in the film works for Nick Fury and I think anyone who works for Nick Fury, they certainly have a mysterious past. We’re not specifically saying that he’s …but we’re not not saying.”

Not confirming is pretty much confirming, isn’t it? He’s being described as Peter’s pseudo chaperone while on his European vacation, as EP Eric Carroll states:

“Now you’ve got this really scary-looking mercenary driving these kids around Europe. So, they get rerouted [by Fury]. They drive through the Alps, and there’s a fun character set piece here where Peter, who now has access to some technology in the wake of having met up with Nick Fury, tries to use that technology for iffy purposes and almost blows up his bus by launching some weaponized drones that this spy team has access to.”

What do you think? Is Dmitri the Chameleon?
