A Christmas village is being built for the film which sees a little boy with dyslexia thinking he wrote a letter to Santa but turns out it’s to Satan

We also heard a rumor that Pete Davidson might be in this film as well but we cannot verify that claim right now.
A project 11 years in the making is finally seeing the light. Back in 2012, 20th Century Fox purchased the rights to Dan Ewen’s spec script for ‘Dear Satan‘ with the Farrelly Brothers set to direct. For whatever reason the project never was pushed forward until now. We reported earlier this week that film, which is currently Untitled but under the working title of ‘Dear Satan’, is set to begin production this month in Atlanta.
There was also an animated short back in 2017 that was narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart.

We have learned exclusively that the Farrelly Brothers are bringing back Jack Black to play the role of Satan. Jack is no stranger to the Farrelly Brothers as he starred in their 2001 comedy, Shallow Hal, which also starred Gwyneth Paltrow.
The script from Dan Ewen followed a 7-year-old girl who accidentally misspells “Santa” and instead invites Satan to bring her a toy for Christmas. The inspiration for the script came from the writer’s babysitting experience when a child in his care switched a couple of letters in Santa’s name on his yearly note to the North Pole.
The synopsis for the film follows a similiar story but will now focus on a boy named Liam.
Synopsis: “Liam, a likable 6th grader, writes to Santa asking him to prove that he’s real. But Liam is dyslexic and accidentally sends his letter to Satan instead, who shows up at Liam’s house, excited to have his first fanboy letter and wanting a little of Liam’s soul”
Conundrum Entertainment will produce the film for Paramount Pictures. There is currently no date of release.
