Mention the 1980’s show Knight Rider and a number of things come to mind. The theme song, David Hasslehoff, and most importantly, the car. The Knight Industry Two-Thousand, or K.I.T.T. for short. Who can forget the roving red light in the front? The sleek black lines and of course, the turbo boost jumps at any point on the road. Well apparently, Spy Glass Media, and Atomic Monster are counting on that nostalgia for the show.
It was recently announced that a film adaptation is in development to give a new audience the Knight Rider experience. It is being developed by SpyGlass Media along with Atomic Monster’s James Wan and Micheal Clear. The film will feature a script being adapted by former video game writer TJ Fixman. Together, they will attempt to recreate the magic that became a cult favorite.
Story lines for the film are being kept secret for now but it is said it will be a contemporary take on the subject. Although, the developers hope to maintain the anti-establishment undertones of the original Glen A. Larson show.

Senior Writer at GeekVibesNation – I am a 50 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove head first over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 18 year old boy with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.
