Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles played brothers for fifteen seasons of The CW show Supernatural. Both had a good relationship both on and off-screen. However, it seems that Padalecki was not a part of the decision-making process for the upcoming prequel series, The Winchesters. It was announced yesterday that Ackles and his wife Daneel will produce a prequel show that centers around the brothers’ parents. An announcement that Padalecki apparently found with all of us on Twitter.
Dude. Happy for you.
Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter.
I’m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever. https://t.co/bAcEvFKM7p— Jared Padalecki (@jarpad) June 25, 2021
No.
It’s not.
This is the first I’ve heard about it.
I’m gutted. https://t.co/1i8eC8YAdV— Jared Padalecki (@jarpad) June 25, 2021
In addition, Misha Collins (who played the angel Castiel in the show since season four), also seemed to want to get in on the action:
Seems like this show would benefit from a time-traveling angel-in-a-trenchcoat character. Just saying… https://t.co/gb8oxBQZiM

What’d you think of the fact that it seems that Ackles didn’t tell Padalecki about this show before it was announced on Twitter? Let us know!
