Jen and Sylvia Soska are known as the Soska Sisters and known for their contributions to the horror genre. Now, the twins will be stepping in to write, direct, and produce Unseen. Unseen is based on an audio-only mobile game called BlindSide. This project is in development from Radar Pictures. The Soska twins are penning a screenplay about a Boston couple who wake up blind and must navigate throughout a “terrifying world they cannot recognize”.
The couple’s sanity will diminish as they go throughout their new reality. In the feature, they’ll sense the presence of a new species. This new species does not need light. Michael Napoliello, Maria Frisk, and Alex Power will produce the film.
The Soska sisters stated:
“Unseen is a horror film experience completely unlike any other before it. This film will truly bring the fear of the unknown to life by putting the focus of storytelling on what you hear.”
Radar’s Ted Field expressed:
“I enjoyed what the Soskas did with their twist on Cronenberg’s Rabid. Their work as writers and directors embraces classic genre elements and adds a fresh, visceral quality. I look forward to seeing what we create with Unseen.”
