Adam McKay’s new film has just gained an all-star actress. Jennifer Lawrence joins the cast of Don’t Look Up. This film is being described as a “doomsday comedy”. It’s about two astronomers who attend a media tour to warn the world of a meteorite hurtling towards Earth.
Don’t Look Up will start production in April. While Lawrence’s role is unknown, Screen Rant is surmising that Lawrence may play one of the astronomers.
McKay has commented on working with Lawrence:
“I’m so thrilled to make this movie with Jen Lawrence. She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite talent.’ And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way.”
Don’t Look Up hopes to be released sometime later this year.
