Jennifer Lopez and Armie Hammer to Team Up for Action-Comedy ‘Shotgun Wedding’

Jennifer Lopez and Armie Hammer are teaming up in Lionsgate’s upcoming action-comedy Shotgun Wedding. The movie will be directed by Pitch Perfect’s Jason Moore. The screenplay was written by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether. Ryan Reynolds will also be executive producing the project – which is expected to start production in the beginning of next year to be presented at the AFM.

Erin Westerman, the President of Production for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group; put out a statement:

“Jennifer and Armie’s irresistible magnetism, separately and together, make them the perfect pairing for this action-comedy. They are both incredibly funny actors that can also deliver on the action, but what sets this movie apart is the way their infectious chemistry commands the screen. You can’t take your eyes off them.”

Lopez will play Darcy and Hammer will play Tom. The film centers around the couple bringing in their opinionated families for a destination wedding – when they then get cold feet. Things get even stickier when the entire party is taken hostage. Wait…what?
